Too many points?

You have to figure there's another move in the making for the Blazer backcourt. We at Blazer Beat welcome the return of point guard Steve Blake. But we wonder what the next move is.

In case you haven't noticed, the Blazers are topheavy at point guard: Third-year man Jarrett Jack would seem to be the nominal starter, though it should be remembered that Blake started over 50 games during his first tour with Portland in two years ago.

Behind them, the team has often-dazzling Sergio Rodriguez. And there are two rookies coming in that are tailor-made for the point: Taurean Green, fresh off back-to-back NCAA titles at Florida; and Finnish prospect Petten Koponen.

We're still not done: Rookie of the Year Brandon Roy spent a lot of time manning the point last year, particularly at crunch time.

There's already been considerable speculation that Jack will be dealt elsewhere. BlazerBeat might hazard a guess that Rodriguez' high-reward/high-risk style might not quit fit Coach Nate McMillan's vision of ideal point-guard play.

I love all those guys, but none of them are really NBA starter quality.
